This smart biometric workstation is designed specifically for SIM Registration and Citizen Identification projects and comes equipped with all the technology required to perform these tasks with an ergonomically designed, easy-to-use workstation.
The Axon Comet 60 workstation makes registrations and enrolments accurate, efficient and saves time with the well-designed and light weight case that houses the FAP-60 Kojak Fingerprint reader, the de facto standard in 10 fingerprint (4-4-2) enrolment. The 10-inch multi-point touch screen provides a clear, high-resolution interface for the user.
Another major feature of the Comet 60 workstation is that it comes with Android 10 operating system that is GMS certified and also approved by the NCC for SIM registrations. This device is ideal for Civil registrations, SIM registrations, Voter registrations, National Population registers and Financial services too.
Comet 60 features
The tablet has a cast-in FAP-60 fingerprint reader as well as Contact and Contactless (NFC) ID card reading technology. This empowers the user to efficiently carry out their duties with government grade fingerprint enrolment.
The Comet 60 device also comes equipped with powerful 13MP and 5MP cameras. The 13MP Primary Arm Camera can rotate 180 degrees to take photos of people at different heights while the 5MP front camera with dual flashes can be used for scanning codes and taking pictures. An optional Iris scanner can also be included. The 80mm printer can be used to print receipts of any identity registrations and provided to the customer immediately. A zink (Zero Ink) printer is an optional feature that can be used to print high-quality receipts to avoid fading.
For a larger device, designed as a workstation, it still only weighs 3.3kg and is ideal for enrolment and registration points nationwide. The large 10,000 mAh battery provides a full day of service and even supports solar charging while the expansion slot caters for 1 Micro SD card (128GB) and 2 Micro SIM cards to ensure sufficient storage and connectivity at all times.
